Melissa’s Sunshine Camp
Founded in 1993, Melissa’s Sunshine Camp located in Huntingdon is a non-profit organization catering to individuals of all ages with intellectual or physical disabilities in the Haut-Saint-Laurent region.
Services offered include:
Day Activity Service
Since April 2014, Melissa’s Sunshine Camp has offered a day activity service from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The service is available to individuals aged 21 and over with intellectual or physical disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Activities are tailored to maintain and develop their skills under the supervision of a specialized education technician and a social animator. This service focuses on four areas: fine and gross motor skills, autonomy, socialization, and creativity.
Sunshine-Respite
Respite service for parents of children with special needs (ADHD, language disorders, physical disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, etc.), including their siblings.
Throughout the day of activities, participants are encouraged to socialize, express themselves, and engage in movement activities.

Providing a continuum of prevention and support services starting from pregnancy to enhance the quality of life and health of families, as well as promoting healthy child development.

Les Aidants du Haut-Saint-Laurent
Les Aidants Naturels du Haut-Saint-Laurent is a nonprofit organization.
Its mission is to prevent emotional and physical exhaustion among family caregivers responsible for elderly individuals with loss of autonomy living at home in the Haut-Saint-Laurent region.

Maison des jeunes Huntingdon
Providing a meeting place (for teenagers aged 12-17) where they can receive assistance and information to address difficult situations, empowering them with all possible means for self-care.
Intensive prevention through sports and cultural activities.

Service d’accompagnement bénévole et Communautaire (SABEC)
S.A.B.E.C. offers accompaniment and transportation services for medical appointments for residents of all ages in the Haut-Saint-Laurent MRC.

Haut-Saint-Laurent Communi-T Nights
Communi-T Nights aim to foster a sense of belonging in Haut-Saint-Laurent by stimulating community development and creating networking opportunities for the population, all free of charge. They facilitate meaningful interactions and foster connections between the Francophone and Anglophone communities, between organizations and citizens, and among fellow residents. Around twenty organizations participate, offering a range of missions from sports and leisure to healthcare, transportation, culture, communication, and environmental services, alongside educational courses and support for community and economic development.
